TRAIL MILEAGE ADDED AT COW MOUNTAIN

In Spring of 2019, Friends of Cow Mountain restored the Acupuncture trail bed and added approximately one mile of new trail in a reroute around private property and a culturally sensitive site. This was accomplished by North Bay Motorcycle Club felling hazard trees, Friends of Cow Mountain hiring a trail builder to construct the reroute and Friends of Cow Mountain hiring an operator to use our excavator to maintain the trailbed. This project was funded with a grant from California State Parks OHMVR.

FEBRUARY 16 WORK DAY AT COW MOUNTAIN

We have a green light for a work day at Cow Mountain on Saturday the 16th
IF THE GOVERNMENT IS OPEN. If congress comes to an agreement and the government stays open we will meet at Westside staging. If the politicians can't work it out and the government shuts back down we are headed to Indian Valley for a trail ride. Please come and join us either way!

Details: If the government is open we will gather at Westside staging at 8:00AM and pass through the gate at 8:30. The gate will be closed and locked after we pass throught so don't be late. Things you will need: transportation to the work area (dirt bike is best for the trails we will work on but we can make almost anything work), some trail food, water, gloves, and tools. The preferred tools are loppers and a folding saw.

If the government is closed we will meet for a trail ride at Hwy. 20 and Walker Ridge Road at 8:00AM and plan to be on the bikes at 8:30.

Hope to see you all there!
